Dr. Stacey Henderson
Dr. Stacey was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, but has lived in multiple provinces across Canada. With a passion for the sciences, biology, and animals, she first completed undergraduate studies in marine biology and oceanography at Dalhousie University in Halifax, NS in 2012 before moving back to Alberta. Ultimately her interests led her to veterinary medicine, and she completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree in 2020 from the University of Calgary Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (UCVM).
Dr. Stacey works primarily with small animals (cat/dog) and the occasional small exotic. Her goal as a veterinarian is to get to know you (because who knows an animal better than their owner?) and your furry or fluffy loved one, preventing the preventable, treating the treatable, and guiding you through whatever difficult decisions may come your way through your pet’s life. Dr. Stacey also has a special interest in working with geriatric and palliative patients, and would be honoured to work with you in ensuring your pet is as comfortable and pain-free as possible in their golden years.
When she is not at work, she is spending time with her own little zoo of animals, including two cats, Beats and Raven (pictured), and her rescue pup, Madelaine, as well as her partner. She loves to get outside to hike, road bike, and cross-country ski.
