Birds & Exotics

At the Airdrie Animal Health Centre, we offer veterinary services on all types of exotic animals, including avian and reptilian species. Our veterinary professionals offer health exams on exotic species, ensuring your pet is in good health. We also offer grooming services on avian species including wing trims, nail trims and beak trims.

What type of grooming do birds require?

Avian companion animals may require grooming to allow them to preform daily tasks and can be an important part of health care. Some birds have unmaintained growth of both their beaks and nails. Beak trims can help ensure your bird can properly access food while nail trims ensure your bird can perch properly and prevents nails from growing back into a bird’s foot pads.

We Are AAHA Accredited

The Airdrie Animal Health Centre was founded in 1982. It has expanded over the years to 5 Veterinarians, 3 Registered Veterinary Technicians, 5 Receptionists, and over 12,000 patients. The clinic became a fully certified American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) veterinary clinic in 1999. Airdrie Animal Health Centre continues to hold itself to the high standards of AAHA by being reviewed and inspected every 3 years. These are standards that are followed to ensure your beloved, furry family members receive the care they deserve and they are the only clinic in Airdrie to do this extra step.
